The 4th  Annual Songs On The Bayou Songwriters Festival in Morgan City,  LA,  is an exciting event of music, culture, and entertainment highlighting our unique Bayou experience to songwriters and music lovers across the country, as well as accenting the local music scene.  March 25-29, 2020,

Songs On The Bayou Songwriters Festival in Morgan City,  LA,  presented by Last Honky Tonk Music Series and D.a.T. SaUcE, is an exciting five day event of music, culture, and entertainment highlighting our unique Bayou experience to songwriters and music lovers across the country, as well as accenting the local music scene.  On March 25-29, 2020, Songs On The Bayou will offer multiple Featured Songwriter shows all across Morgan City, Berwick, and Patterson on Thursday (5-8PM) , Friday (5-8PM) , and Saturday (Noon-8pm), plus  multiple Special Events in the evenings throughout the area.

Our official venues include Atchafalaya Cafe, Daiquiris and Company, Bay City Bistro, Atchafalaya at Idlewild, Bourbon’s, Tampicos, The Galley, East Gate BBQ, AJ’s Pub, Nicobella, and Da Camp. Our special events include Fais Do Do, Bayou Sunset Pickin’ Party, Songs on the Bayou Extravaganza, Veterans Night, Blues On The Bayou, Back To The Country, and Songs In The Park. Featuring Last Honky Tonk Music Series Artists, Nashville Hit Songwriters, Outlaw Country Legends, Jazz and Blues Specialists, and Featured Writers from multiple Songwriting Festivals in the country, along with rising talent in the Country, Blues, Cajun, Zydeco, Outlaw Country and Americana Genres. Over 100 performers!  This will be five days of Bayou fun, music magic, and camaraderie and an experience of a lifetime!

Our festival is in partnership with the Green Community Foundation.  All food/beverage sales at Lake End Park & D.a.T. Wings sales at Daiquiris & Company go to the foundation. The purpose of the Green Community Foundation is to facilitate healing, empowerment, and education to our youth, senior citizens, and veterans, by utilizing Music, outdoor resources and Community Ambassadors. Their programs  also interchange and connect with one another for maximum potential of these goals.

Music transmutes all boundaries and creates a connection and community of Spirit. With Morgan City, LA being the headquarters location of our National Last Honky Tonk Music Series, our intent is to build a “national music hometown”, thereby fostering this connectivity and inspiring a culture of positive influence. Our end goal is to see a thriving city filled with live music venues and various creative outlets for our residents, support for our own local area musicians and programs for our youth, as well as create a burgeoning tourist destination that contributes to our local economy.
